Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be greeted by our Hope Lanka staff and an English-speaking tour guide who will accompany you to Kandy. En route, you will visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to observe elephants bathing and interacting. Upon arrival in Kandy, check in to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a city tour of Kandy, visiting the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha, the Gem Museum, and a traditional batik-making factory. Take a leisurely stroll through the vibrant marketplaces to immerse yourself in local culture. Later in the evening, experience a colorful cultural show that showcases traditional Sri Lankan music, dance, and performing arts.
After breakfast, visit the Royal Botanical Garden in Kandy to explore its diverse plant species and beautiful landscapes. Afterwards, continue your journey to Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as the 'Little England' of Sri Lanka. En route, enjoy a stop at Ramboda Waterfall to admire the scenic views and savor a cup of Ceylon Tea. Spend the evening relaxing in the cool climate of Nuwara Eliya. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Kitulgala, known for its white water rafting opportunities. Along the way, stop to view St. Clair’s and Devon Falls, and visit the location where the Oscar-winning movie 'Bridge on the River Kwai' was filmed. Later in the day, continue your journey to Colombo. In the evening, enjoy a city and shopping tour of Colombo, where you will explore historical, religious, and commercial sites including the bustling Fort and Pettah areas, the upscale residential district of Cinnamon Gardens, the scenic Galle Face Green, and Viharamahadevi Park among others. Conclude your day with an overnight stay at a beach hotel in Negombo.
