ANCIENT CAPITAL TOUR

The short tour of 4 days is specially designed for a quick yet descriptive overlook of the great history of Sri Lanka. Explore the ruins and highlights of the glorious ancient capitals of Sri Lanka where you would see the pure reflections of the proud Sri Lankan history. Observe the ancient Buddhist shrines, old Buddha statues, ruins of the ancient palaces and other historical attractions within the ancient kingdoms with comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 01: Colombo Airport – Anuradapura

• We will meet you at the Bandaranaike International Airport and take you to your hotel in Anuradhapura.
• In the afternoon, we will go Anuradhapura city tour.
• At the end of the tour you will return to your hotel for dinner and your overnight stay.\n

Day 02: Anuradapura – Polonnaruwa – Sigiriya

• In the morning after breakfast, we will visit the ruins of the Ruwanweliseya Temple, Abhayagiriya temple and the Jetawanaramaya dagobas.
• Next is a visit to the Kuttam Pokuna (also known as the twin ponds) and the Samadhi Buddha statue.

Plonnaruwa Royal Palace

• Then, you will proceed to Polonnaruwa.
• You will visit the ruins of the Royal Palace.
• At the end of the tour, you will check in at your hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 03: Sigiriya- Dambulla – Matale – Kandy

• After that we will go to Polonnaruwa, You will visit the ruins of the Royal Palace.
• At the end of the tour, you will check in at your hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 04: Kandy – Pinnawala – Colombo – Airport

Kandy Lake

• After breakfast, you will go on a tour of Kandy and the Upper Lake Drive.
• Then we will to visit the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya and the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela.
• At the end of the tour, you will be taken to Colombo or transferred to the airport for your departure.
